Filters Directly in Charts
Qlik will introduce in Qlik Cloud Analytics the ability to filter directly within charts.
Below, we present the main advantages of this new feature.
1. Simplified Development (No Need for Set Analysis Expressions)
You no longer need to write complex set analysis syntax to limit data in a chart. This reduces the learning curve for new users and minimizes the chance of errors in expressions.
2. More Intuitive Workflow
Applying filters directly in the chart’s properties panel aligns with how users think about visualizing data — making it easier to define, understand, and maintain the logic behind each chart.
3. Improved Readability and Maintenance
Chart expressions become cleaner and easier to read, since filtering logic is separated from the measure or dimension expression. This also helps in collaboration and troubleshooting.
