Qlik Sense™ 3.2 brings improvements in the interface, management, resiliency and scalability, but also an interface converter from QlikView™ !
Few months after launching Qlik Sense™ 3.1 and about half a year after Qlik Sense™ 3.0 appeared, here we have the first news in 2017!
First, some news about the visible part of Qlik Sense™, relevant updates about the user experience and interface:
Colors control in graphical objects allows now, (in addition to what was already allowed by Sense™ 3.1, to associated master dimensions directly to a color spread), also gradient staining, based on an already defined measure (within the list of master measures), different from the one used as the respective expression.
Defining graph color can be chosen now out the full pallet of Windows colors.
Sense™ 3.2 automatically creates (on any timeline column of data), a larger series of derivate dimensions, such as interval measures, but also memberships flags in the recent (or older) periods.
There are also some new, better searching and navigation options.
About the architecture, here are some of the news in Sense™ 3.2:
- Qlik Sense™ Desktop can be used now to authenticate against Qlik Sense™ Server;
- The new multi-node architecture brings more resilience and scalability. These multiple nodes can share same database files and eliminate the delays due to synchronizations.
About the portability, the QlikView™ converter, now available in Qlik Sense™’s Dev Hub interface menus, allows you to transfer your pre-existing work much easier from QlikView™ documents into Qlik Sense™ apps. You can choose, in a selective way, the objects from the QlikView™ interface to be transferred in the new Qlik Sense™ interface (including variable content !).
